Frank Coppieters, Phd.
Frank Coppieters, Ph.D. is the director of the Living Light spiritual center which he started in 1986 in Portland, Oregon.
He is a native of Belgium where he taught graduate students full time at the University of Antwerp in Theory of Literature, History of Drama and Non-Verbal Communication.
He also started a center where teachers and artists came who were developing new forms of energy work.
It was through participating in their classes that Frank became engrossed in the body/mind/spirit connection.
This led to extensive meditation practices, the search for various spiritual teachers and for a livelihood where he could offer his experience to others.
One of the teachers Frank worked with was Joska Soos. Joska, comes from the Hungarian Bacsa tradition of shamanism and is also a renowned visionary painter.
After studying for several years with him Frank was formally initiated into shamanism.
Currently Frank is offering shamanic classes and sessions to help bring people into balance and access higher levels of consciousness.
In 1985 Frank married Kathy Melcher and immigrated to the United States.
It was the next year that he started the Living Light Center.
In 1989 he was initiated as a Reiki Master by Phil Morgan in the traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho system as taught by Phyllis Furumoto and Paul Mitchell and has been teaching Reiki classes in the USA, Belgium, France and England.
Frank works as an intuitive counselor, shaman and Reiki practitioner and always focuses on the empowerment of his clients and students.
He helps people to access their inner teacher and to work creatively with the challenges that are happening in their lives.
